AN CAFE World Tour Exclusive MJP Interview - Brazil

No final do primeiro concerto ao vivo do An Cafe no Brasil, em 2009, miku disse à multidão: "Eu prometo que nós vamos voltar!!".

E a promessa foi cumprida! Depois de três anos após a sua primeira apresentação, um café voltou a terras brasileiras com sua turnê "NYAPPY GO AROUND THE WORLD III ～TADAIMA o(≧∀≦)o OKAERI o(≧∀≦)o～"e apresentou os seus fãs ansiosos com a promessa de uma grande noite que todo mundo vai ficar na memória.

Mas antes que o desempenho em si, musicJAPANplus teve a oportunidade de conhecer a banda no Brasil e falar sobre a turnê, os seus sentimentos depois de seu retorno, expectativas e planos para o futuro!

- A turnê começou no início deste mês e até que você chegou aqui no Brasil tinha sido uma longa viagem. Como você se sente agora que você está aqui?


Teruki: Quando estávamos na Europa, o tempo estava nublado, e agora no Brasil o clima é claro e limpo. Foi um grande impulso para nós.

- Falar sobre a turnê européia, como foi?

Miku: Foi um ótimo passeio. Eles nos receberam muito bem e nossa interação com [os fãs] foi bom assim. Eu tinha um monte de diversão.


- AN CAFE permaneceu em hiato por um pouco mais de dois anos. Como são seus fãs reagindo a sua volta?

Miku: Foi dois anos sem atividades ea sensação que temos é que estamos começando tudo de novo, um novo começo.

- Após a apresentação ao vivo da banda no Nippon Budokan em janeiro de 2010 que você anunciou a pausa a atividade de um café. Como foi para você tomar essa decisão e como seus fãs reagiram a isso? Você recebeu muitas mensagens com eles?

takuya: Quando UM CAFÉ decidi fazê-lo, era algo necessário para todos nós. De certa forma, a reação dos fãs foi positiva, que tinham entendido as nossas razões. Fizemos receber um monte de mensagens, no entanto.

Miku: Sim e foi bom para nós, portanto, foram capazes de medir os sentimentos que os nossos fãs tinham sobre a banda.

- Durante o hiato, kanon e miku trabalhou em projetos paralelos. Você está planejando para continuar esses projetos agora que AN CAFE voltou? Como sobre os outros membros? Você tem algum projeto paralelo durante a pausa do An Cafe?

Teruki: Quando nós falamos sobre AN CAFE nós concordou em voltar com a banda. E, apesar disso, nós gostamos de ter a liberdade para explorar outros projetos em nosso tempo livre. No momento, não estamos pensando sobre eles em termos de prioridade. Temos a intenção de manter a banda juntamente com os projetos paralelos.

- Recentemente você lançou o mini-álbum "azul incrível", que foi o primeiro lançamento após a pausa. Você tem planos para um próximo álbum? O que pode esperar seus fãs em um futuro próximo?


kanon: Estamos sempre trabalhando em novas músicas. takuya e cheguei a escrever alguns riffs novos.

takuya: Sim, isso é verdade.

- Vocês estão pensando em um novo álbum?

Teruki: Antes [de vir aqui], quando ainda estávamos no Japão, nós escrevemos algumas músicas novas e reuniu algumas idéias. Nós estamos sempre em um processo de criação e estamos constantemente a ter novas idéias. Portanto, eu acho que o novo álbum vai sair em breve. Mas não temos uma data exata para isso.

Miku: Sim, quando estávamos na Alemanha, Yu-ki e eu dividimos o mesmo quarto (todos riem). E enquanto nós dois foram assistir a alguns programas de TV e anúncios com uma melodia muito legal, que nos inspirou e ajudou Yu-ki e eu ter algumas idéias. (miku cutuca Yu-ki e todo mundo ri de novo)

- Existe uma música que os fãs gostam especialmente e pedir mais, enquanto você está em turnê? Por outro lado, há uma música que você gosta e jogar muito?

Teruki: Ao fazer o set list só pensamos de nossos fãs, não importa onde eles vivem. E eles costumavam ter gostos semelhantes. Para nós, as músicas que eles gostam de ouvir em um show são os que gostam de realizar.


- Esta é a 3 ª vez que AN CAFE faz uma turnê mundial, e durante todos eles, você se encontrou com fãs de um monte de lugares. Qual é a maior diferença entre seus fãs brasileiros e os de outros países?

Miku: Nós sentimos que eles são muito quente, receptivo e de um modo mais informal. Eles gostam de contato físico, como agarrar no seu braço. É diferente de outros países. (risos)

Yu-ki: (agarrando o braço Miku como os fãs)

Miku: O calor é legal ... O calor. (risos)

- É isso mesmo (risos) Durante a sua estadia no Brasil, tanto esse tempo e pela última vez, você teve a oportunidade de ir para alguns lugares?

Miku: Quando veio a primeira vez, quase não tenho tempo. Mas desta vez tivemos a oportunidade de ver alguns lugares; fomos para shopping centers, lojas de instrumentos, andamos nas ruas e também foi para uma churrascaria onde comemos tanto quanto queríamos. Isso é algo que não está acostumado.

- E não há nenhum país que você gostaria de jogar no mas não teve a chance ainda?

Miku: Colômbia

Teruki: África do Sul

kanon: Cuba (todos riem)

takuya: Egito

Yu-ki: Todos os que lugares eles disseram.


- Como é a sensação de voltar para o Brasil para realizar o seu segundo concerto aqui depois de três anos? O que você espera para o show de hoje à noite?

kanon: Quando chegamos, tivemos uma grande recepção e quente. Eu quero jogar e sentir que esta noite mesma energia grande.

- E, finalmente, por favor, dê a seus fãs brasileiros, que estão esperando ansiosamente para o show de hoje à noite uma mensagem, e para aqueles que não puderam vir também!

takuya: Esperamos fazer um show muito bom para todos, hoje e para aqueles que não puderam vir, espero que para participar no próximo.

kanon: o Brasil é um país que não pode vir tão frequentemente por causa da distância, por isso vamos fazer o nosso melhor para fazer um show hoje à noite ótimo!

Teruki: Esta é a 2 ª vez que estamos vindo para o Brasil. Espero ser capaz de vir uma terceira e muitos mais. Vou colocar todo o meu esforço em fazer deste um bom show!

Miku: É o show 2 vamos apresentar no Brasil e nós vamos fazer o nosso melhor. Hoje, mesmo para aqueles que não puderam vir, eu queria que nós vamos ser capazes de se unir com a mesma energia, como se fôssemos uma família.


Yu-ki: Para o show de hoje, espero que possamos trazer um pouco de energia muito grande e que isso nos dá a chance de voltar algum tempo. E para os fãs que não puderam estar aqui, nós esperamos vê-lo na próxima vez!

In the end of AN CAFE's first live concert in Brazil, in 2009, miku said to the crowd: "I promise you! We will be back!".

And the promise was fulfilled! After three years after their first presentation, AN CAFE came back to Brazilian lands with their tour "NYAPPY GO AROUND THE WORLD III ～TADAIMA o(≧∀≦)o OKAERI o(≧∀≦)o～" and presented their anxious fans with the promise of a great night that everybody will keep in memory.

But before the performance itself, musicJAPANplus had the opportunity to meet the band in Brazil and talk about the tour, their feelings after their comeback, expectations and plans for the future!

-- The tour began earlier this month and until you arrived here in Brazil it had been a long trip. How do you feel now that you're here?

teruki: When we were in Europe the weather was cloudy, and now in Brazil the weather is clear and clean. It was a big boost for us.

-- Talking about the European tour, how was it?

miku: It was a great tour. They welcomed us very well and our interaction with [the fans] was good as well. I had a lot of fun there.


-- AN CAFE had remained on hiatus for a little more than two years. How are your fans reacting to your back?

miku: It was two years without activities and the feeling we have is like we're starting all over again; a new beginning.

-- After the band's live performance at Nippon Budokan in January 2010 you've announced the activity pause of AN CAFE. How it was for you to make this decision and how did your fans reacted to it? Did you get many messages from them?

takuya: When AN CAFE decided to do it, it was something necessary for all of us. In a way, the fans' reaction was positive, they had understood our reasons. We did receive a lot of messages, though.

miku: Yes and it was good for us, so we were able to measure the feelings that our fans had about the band.

-- During the hiatus, kanon and miku worked on side projects. Are you planning to continue these projects now that AN CAFE came back? How about the other members? Did you have any side project during AN CAFE's hiatus?

teruki: When we talked about AN CAFE we've agreed to come back with the band. And despite that, we like to have the freedom to explore other projects in our free time. At the moment, we're not thinking about them in terms of priority. We intend to keep the band along with the side projects.

-- Recently you released the mini-album "amazing blue", which was the first release after the pause. Do you have any plans for a next record? What may your fans expect in the near future?


kanon: We're always working on new songs. takuya and I came to write some new riffs.

takuya: Yes, that's true.

-- Are you guys thinking of a new album?

teruki: Before [coming here], when we were still in Japan, we wrote some new songs and gathered some ideas. We're always in a creation process and we constantly have new ideas. Therefore I think the new album will come out soon. But we don't have an exact date to it.

miku: Yes, when we were in Germany, yu-ki and I shared the same room (everybody laughs). And while both of us were watching some TV shows and ads with a very cool melody, that inspired us and it helped yu-ki and I to have some ideas. (miku pokes yu-ki and everybody laughs again)

-- Is there a song that the fans like especially and request the most while you are on tour? On the other hand, is there a song that you like and play a lot? 

teruki: While making the set list we only think of our fans, no matter where they live. And they used to have similar tastes. For us, the songs they like to listen to at a live are the ones we like to perform.


-- This is the 3rd time that AN CAFE makes a worldwide tour, and during all of them you've met fans from a lot of places. What's the biggest difference between your Brazilian fans and the ones from other countries?

miku: We felt that they're very warm, receptive and in some way more informal. They like physical contact, like grab on your arm. It's different from other countries. (laughs)

yu-ki: (grabbing miku's arm like the fans)

miku: Their heat is cool... The heat. (laughs)

-- That's right (laughs) During your stay in Brazil, both this time and the last time, did you have the opportunity to go some places?

miku: When we came the first time, hardly got around. But this time we had the chance to see some places; we went to shopping centers, instrument stores, we walked in the streets and also went to a steakhouse where we ate as much as we wanted. That is something we're not used to.

-- And there's any country that you would like to play at but didn't have the chance yet?

miku: Colombia

teruki: South Africa

kanon: Cuba (they all laugh)

takuya: Egypt

yu-ki: All that places they said.


-- How is the feeling of coming back to Brazil to perform your second concert here after three years? What do you expect for tonight's show?

kanon: When we arrived, we had a great and warm reception. I want to play and feel that same big energy tonight.

-- And at last, please, give your Brazilian fans, which are anxiously waiting for tonight's concert a message, and for those who couldn't come as well!

takuya: We hope to do a very good show for everyone today and for those who couldn't come, I hope you to attend in the next one.

kanon: Brazil is a country we can't come as often because of the distance, so we'll do our best to make a great show tonight!

teruki: This is the 2nd time we're coming to Brazil. I hope to be able to come a 3rd and many more times. I'll put all my effort into making this a good show!

miku: It's the 2nd show we're going to perform in Brazil and we'll do our best. Today, even for those who couldn't come, I wish that we'll be able to unite with the same energy, as if we were a family.


yu-ki: For tonight's concert, I hope we can bring out some great energy and that this gives us the chance to come back again some time. And for the fans who couldn't be here, we hope to see you next time!
